Consumer Reports in a 2010 study of all anti-malware suites out there ranked it second in overall performance only behind an Avast Corporate package! MSE blew away such noteables as Norton, McAfee, Panda and Kasperski Internet security. It caught and removed all but one virus which it quarantined instead of remove. The rest failed at getting various virus's completely!
MSE in my view is surprisingly an excellent product considering its free, updates itself without a subscription and get this, actually works without killing your system!
