Well many people blamed G. W. for most of the last eight years woes and some even believed he was the Anti-Christ come to earth. But now it seems we've gone from the frying pan to the blow torch!
Beyond doubt, G. W. had some really qualitative problems in his two terms and many saw this as Empire building with the fall of the Soviet Union as a counter balance. However as bad as that was, I do not see anything in the past as bad as what seemingly loom’s around the corner.

So much for free speech and welcome to taxed speech for those who can afford it! This is a very disturbing trend in America where local authorities in need of serious cash are often finding draconian measures to come up with funds. When does the nanny state turn into 1984?
I remember the days when armed IRS agents pulling stunts with Day Care’s telling worried parents to come get their kids and bring the check book! All because the agents erroneously thought the day care owed taxes!
With a lot of people wanting rescue from this recession and some wanting a socialist state, I wonder how many of those people have ever asked a Russian what utopia was like! Bread lines and Gorky park anyone!
Remember our history folks, Rome was not built in a day by a single person and the empires fall was really messy!
But we survived after all to become what we are today! Vigilance, reason and sensible ( If not common) solutions need to prevail!
